Porch furniture?

So I have a screened in porch with a roof but I live in Mass so we get some pretty bad weather and snow and rain do get in if it’s windy. My husband and I went to Pier one and we mixed and matched a great patio set with pillows, a loveseat, table, small table everything, it was perfect and in our price range……..only to find out it was mostly indoor stuff!! They had all their outdoor furniture and indoor wicker/cushions mixed together and not separated. it was quite frustrating..
anyways, has anyone used indoor wicker on a porch?

      The waterproofness of any weatherproof clear finish that can be sprayed am also worried about the wicker with aerosol polyeurethane or any adhesives.
